A new £14 million “super tannery” has opened in Bridge of Weir after a seven-year project to reduce the environmental impact of the operation.Staff and their families were invited through the doors of the brand-new multi-million pound facility for a tour at the state-of-the-art tannery and employee welfare facilities, before enjoying bouncy castles, food stalls, a barbecue and family-focused activities including face painting and a photo booth.
