Harry Maguire's scapegoats were at an all-time high on Tuesday when the England man scored an own goal at Hampden
Scott McTominay has shared his support for England scapegoat Harry Maguire after his Hampden blunder and that the heavy fire that has followed.
Against Steve Clarke's men on Tuesday at Hampden, the defender, who had only played 29 minutes of club football all season, turned the ball into his own net for the Auld Enemy, which gave Scotland a strong yet brief way back into the game. Pundits and fans have criticised the defender heavily, with Southgate publicly backing the centre-half player and Maguire's own mother firing back at the abuse.
The duo were both strongly linked with a move to West Ham in the summer, though they both remain at Old Trafford despite David Moyes' advances. Maguire admitted he didn't care about the abuse he received in Scotland - instead saying it helped England out by taking pressure off the other players.
