Scotland is set to be the hottest place in the UK this week
It's set to be a beautiful week in Scotland for weather as temperatures are set to reach a sizzling 25C - the highest in the UK.
According to the Met Office, the hottest day of the year is set to take place on Tuesday, May 30, which will see temperatures climb to the mid-20s for certain parts of the country. Scotland will also boast the highest temperature in the whole of the UK on this day. "We'll probably be seeing 25 degrees across the north-west of Scotland during the course of Tuesday, which would make it the warmest day of the year so far, not only for Scotland but for the rest of the country as well."
Posting an update on Twitter, the forecaster said: "High pressure stays over the UK throughout the week. The northeasterly breeze will begin feeding cloud into eastern coasts."The cloud will spread inland overnight, but will burn back to eastern coasts during the day."
