Welcome to our third annual NYLON Pride party, which came in two parts: a panel, hosted at The Phluid Project, and a very big, very gay bash, which we threw at the Bowery Electric. It was easily the best Pride party of the year.
We started things off with a panel on intersectional queerness, hosted by our editor-in-chief Gabrielle Korn and moderated by our senior entertainment editor Sesali Bowen, where we heard from Kimberly Drew, Jari Jones, Ericka Hart, NNEKA, and Twiggy. After that, we hopped over to the Bowery Electric for a night of drag and dancing. It didn't hurt that our thirst was quenched by Bud Light, Smirnoff, Milagro Tequila, Ritas, and Nomadica, our drink sponsors for the night.
And don't even get us started on the entertainment! A surprise set from Big Freedia and drag performances by Jan Sport, West Dakota, Serena Tea, and Charlene Incarnate were the highlights of the night. And, to make things even more hype, TomboyX outfitted The Dance Cartel in its Pride collection, which was nothing short of a gay masterpiece.Shot by Gretta Wilson + Charlotte PragerRihanna just can't stop trolling fans who are all but desperate for new music from her.
