Education secretary Nadhim Zahawi wants head teachers to go beyond minimum of 32.5 hours a week

Schools should open for longer than the minimum requirement so children can catch up with the 3Rs and do more extra-curricular activities, Nadhim Zahawi has said.in England over the next decade say state schools should offer a 32.5-hour week — the equivalent of 9am to 3.30pm — and should be encouraged to open for even longer if possible.
