The school said it would open later than normal

A Nottinghamshire school said it would open later than normal so it can evict a group of travellers from its site. Chilwell School on Queens Road West has been impacted by another traveller encampment being set up this weekend .

But the school has been forced into starting the day at 10am, in a bid to reduce disruption. "Parents and students may already be aware that the school has faced an unauthorised encampment over this weekend," Chilwell School said on its website."Thanks to our premises team and business manager, we have been in ongoing communication with the police and the camp has been issued with a legal responsibility to vacate the land.
