August is too late for Mueller to testify before the House Intelligence committee, Schiff told CNN today
The California Democrat added that August is too late for such a public appearance and that if an agreement isn’t reached, “We’ll have to use a subpoena.”
Last month, Mueller said he had wrapped up his duties as special counsel and did not plan on testifying before Congress. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler also said he would issue a subpoena for Mueller's testimony, though his committee is still negotiating with the former special counsel and the timeline for any subpoena remains unclear.
