Saskatchewan's Kevin Korchinski and Nolan Allan have been named to Canada's 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship team.
Korchinski, a Saskatoon native, and Allan, who hails from Davidson, play for the Western Hockey League’s Seattle Thunderbirds. They are two of four Thunderbirds and 11 WHL products named to Canada’s squad, which also includes 6-foot-4 former Saskatoon Blades forward Colton Dach from the Kelowna Rockets.Article content Two goalies and 13 forwards were also selected by Alan Millar and James Boyd with support from Scott Salmond .
“We are excited to unveil the 22 players who have earned the opportunity to represent Canada at the World Juniors, as we believe we have assembled a deep and talented roster that will give us the best opportunity to defend gold on home ice,” Millar said in a release.
