A Saskatoon man who encountered two strangers in his home after he returned home early May 29 talks about what happened next.
Billy, a Caucasian shepherd, was outside and McQuinn’s two dogs, a chihuahua and a Shiloh shepherd were in the house — as he’d later find out the men had locked the two dogs in the basement.
The front entry door was closed behind him and to get to it, he would have to turn around and run about four metres. One of the men fled. The other swung out towards him and McQuinn put his arm out towards him to make space as he backed away, he said. The man fled the house and McQuinn gave chase and spoke on the phone with the 911 operator. He stopped, figuring he wouldn’t gain anything by continuing to chase the man.Article content
