A release issued at 8:30 a.m. said officers were responding to an unknown incident in the area. The tactical unit cordoned off the area around the 200 block of Avenue S South at 21st Street, immediately adjacent to Pleasant Hill School. The school cancelled classes for the day due to the investigation.
