When the boys lacrosse season started, Santana coach Ronnie Kampmueller wasn’t sure if this year’s team would live up to the 2022 club.
“But this year’s team is more skilled. I stacked the schedule, and we had some good wins and took our losses.” “Cameron never comes off the field,” said Kampmueller of the future Illinois Tech player. “He’s our leader in ground balls and that’s a huge asset.”“It’s defense when you go one-on-one when the other team has a star player,” said the 17-year-old, who is 6-foot-3 and weighs 165.“I’d say assisting on a goal,” said Cline after several “oohs and uuuhs. “It feels so nice to get ready, watch a teammate get open, get him the ball and watch him finish it.
“But after coach Ronnie came, he changed everything. Our playing style was built on team chemistry, and he worked us hard, yet still made it fun.”
