The vehicle was traveling northbound on 101 before it crashed off the highway, landing on Coyote Road, authorities said.
A driver was killed Tuesday afternoon in a single-car crash near the Hellyer Road offramp on northbound Highway 101, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP was notified of a traffic incident at 3:09 p.m. The vehicle was traveling northbound on 101 before it crashed off the highway, landing on Coyote Road just outside of Parque de la Raza Disc Golf Course, according to CHP. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 64-year old male and San Jose resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was withheld pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
