There are two dozen pool sites around the city where you can take a swim and beat the heat.

The almost two dozen locations around the city are all free. Schedules for the pools will be announced this week, according to the city's Parks and Recreation Department.The city opened 11 outdoor pools on May 20, and will now open the rest of its locations. A total of 23 outdoor pools will be open, in addition to the indoor pool at the San Antonio Natatorium.
The only pool that won’t be available for swimmers this weekend is the Roosevelt Park Pool, due to construction. The city said that site is expected to be ready later this summer.Free swim lessons are available for children as young as six months at locations around the city. The first session of lessons starts June 26.
For adults 18 and older, the city is offering aqua fitness classes ranging from water aerobics to Aqua Combat, which features choreographed mixed martial arts-inspired movements.
