San Antonio kidney doctor Sayed Tabatabai holds a copy of his debut book,"These Vital Signs," a collection of short stories he originally wrote on Twitter. The collection includes a popular, post-pandemic sci-fi story he wrote in 2020, just a few months into the pandemic. The book releases May 16.
Tabatabai’s tweeted short stories read like narrative poems, blips on an EKG timeline marking pivotal moments and mentors in the author’s early childhood and later medical career. “There are people, principles, and purpose that nourish our spirits and illuminate the path forward.
