The greatest severe-weather threat is over the Hill Country, along the Interstate 35 corridor and the coastal plains. The strong to severe storms are possible between 1 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday, with the initial threat being hail east of I-35. An isolated tornado and damaging wind gusts are also possible as a second round of more widespread storms move through a cold front.A slight chance of showers are forecast early Thursday morning ahead of a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms later in the day, according to the National Weather Service.
While Friday afternoon is expected to be mostly cloudy, rain chances are forecast to continue into Monday. Strong to severe thunderstorms remain possible across most of South-Central Texas tomorrow afternoon through the predawn hours on Friday. Large hail and damaging winds continue to be the primary concerns, though an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
