Sam Fender marked his headling debut at TRNSMT by covering a song by Scottish band Frightened Rabbits., telling the audience that he was Scottish, to duet on The Modern Leper.
Appearing disoriented in parts of the show, humble Fender told the crowd that he couldn't quite take in the fact he was headlining and performing after Kasabian."We have got severe imposter syndrome to the max that we are standing up here going what the f**k is going on. Fender's voice was in top form, distinctive and he breezed through some of his biggest hits including Spit of You, Hypersonic Missiles and Seventeen Going Under.
