Salt Bae steakhouse chain — home of the $275 tomahawk — sued for unpaid overtime pay by grill men
After arriving in the U.S., the suit says, the men were assigned "to work grueling hours in non-managerial positions at the restaurants" despite being classified by the chain as exempt workers, who were paid a flat weekly salary.
"Defendants further failed to provide Plaintiffs with accurate wage notices at their time of hiring, and failed to keep accurate records of Plaintiffs' hours worked and provide Plaintiffs with accurate wage statements with each payment of wages," the suit said. "When Gokce was present at the Restaurants, he personally supervised Plaintiffs' work," the suit said.
