GBBO host Matt Lucas' weight loss and gain stemmed from tragedy
Matt Lucas has undergone a dramatic transformation that has seen the star shed several pounds, leaving The Great British Bake Off fans stunned.
“I think people respond in all different ways to grief,” Matt told the Sunday Times in reflection in 2017. The comedian was later warned by doctors that same year that he was in danger of developing diabetes and was told he needed to reduce his daily calorie intake to 1,500.
