While the full measures to be implemented are still being considered, it is believed Sir Mark plans to invest in more internal staff to increase the Met’s capability to investigate sexual abuse claims against its officers.covers cases involving domestic or sexual incidents that were investigated over the past 10 years, with consequences ranging from final written warnings to no further action.
Baroness Casey Review into the Met’s internal culture said the force takes too long to resolve misconduct cases, requiring 400 days on averageThe review also identified that officers do not believe conduct concerns will result in action. Sexual misconduct allegations were less likely to result in a “case to answer” than other misconduct allegations.
