Ryan Reynolds will narrate the upcoming National Geographic series Underdogs. 'There’s a species of Canadian badger that subsists solely on Saskatoon berry pie. That is of course in no way true but if it were, we’d document them in Underdogs.'
Ryan Reynolds is preparing to narrate his own National Geographic series, Underdogs. Having first broken out as an actor with his comedic role in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl, Reynolds has propelled himself head-first into stardom with starring roles in Deadpool, Free Guy, Detective Pikachu, and Hobbs & Shaw.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Yet Reynolds isn't done with fun and wacky projects, as the actor went online to announce his plans to narrate Underdogs in a particularly raunchy announcement. While it has often been stated that Reynolds doesn't want to direct movies, as he enjoys working with directors collaboratively, he doesn't particularly mind serving as a narrator over nature documentaries, especially ones as wild as Underdogs. The project, which centers around the most disgusting and ugliest creatures in the animal kingdom, has managed to catch his attention enough to earn itself a star as a narrator.
Underdogs is being produced by Wildstar Films and Maximum Effort with the full support of National Geographic, and Reynolds will also be executive producing the project, alongside fellow executive producer George Dewey , who often works closely with Reynolds on many of his projects. Far from a typical documentary series, Underdogs plans to lean into humor to make the show accessible to any audience, as long as that audience is willing to sit through footage of a hippo defecating.
Every Upcoming Ryan Reynolds Project Reynolds has a few projects down the line, including acting roles in the upcoming movies Clue, Parenting Tips, Dragon's Lair: The Movie, and Imaginary Friends, all of which are in varying stages of production. Reynolds is also producing and starring in the animated TV series Futha Mucka, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, a comedy show which will revolve around Jackson becoming Reynolds' primary caregiver.
