The couple live in Nashville and are looking forward to raising their first child in the city
is “okay” following the deadly Nashville tornado that hit their neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
Talking to PEOPLE Now on Wednesday, Hurd, 33, discussed the tornado that left at least 25 people in Tennessee dead,“A tornado went through East Nashville where we live and it’s really sad,” he shared. “All of the places that we love and a lot of the streets that we drive and walk down are really affected by it.”
He added, “It’s just really hard to see your community go through something like that, especially in the middle of the night. But I think the one really special thing about Nashville is we’ve seen it before, with things like the flood [in 2010]. It’s a community that really does come together.” Hurd, who is in New York for press and two shows this week, said it was hard for him to be away from the city he loves and that he and Morris are “just thinking about other people who lost their homes.”
