A White House official on Friday confirmed that Russia has sent a formal diplomatic note to the United States saying weapons shipped to Ukraine from the U.S. and NATO were"adding fuel" to the conflict., said deliveries of the"most sensitive weapons" could result in"unpredictable consequences" for the U.S.NBC News has not seen the note, but a White House official who has confirmed the contents of the note reported by The Washington Post.
According to the news outlet, the authorities have separately blocked a page on the website with a story about 11 riot police officers who refused to fight in Ukraine. On Thursday, a journalist who first broke the story was jailed on the charges of spreading false information about the Russian military.The Kremlin has sought to control the narrative of the war from the moment its troops rolled into Ukraine.
