I’m so much healthier than many my age and being out on the trails brings peace to my soul. I had plantar fasciitis problems recently. The doctor said to go easy for a while and I really miss it when I can’t run.
I enjoy connecting with nature on the trails and also love the triumph of enduring a hard workout or race, especially when I did well.Mornings are definitely my best time to run, when it’s still cool and the day is fresh and I have the trails all to myself. Trying to run later in the day is tough schedule wise for me and the heat really saps my energy. Near my house is the “Iceplant” trail in the mountains.
