Royal Blood has returned to the stage at Glastonbury following their controversial Big Weekend appearance. Frontman seemingly learnt his lesson appearing appreciative of the crowd.
The British rock duo performed a selection of their hits on Friday ahead of headlinersDrummer Ben Thatcher appeared wearing a black Arctic Monkeys vest, in a nod to the Sheffield rockers, and later patrolled the stage geeing up the crowds.
After kicking off with hit songs including Out Of The Black and Come On Over, Kerr told crowds: ‘Thank you so much, this is f*****g insane right now, oh my God what’s going on?’ Towards the end of the set, he added: ‘Thank you so much Glastonbury, I have to tell you never in our wildest dreams did we ever think we’d get to do shit like this.
‘My mind has been melting for the past 53 minutes or however long we’ve been playing for – this is truly f*****g wild, thank you so much.’an online backlash over his behaviour onstageThe singer had called the audience ‘pathetic’ and left with his middle fingers in the air as he departed the stage, having previously berated them for their perceived lack of enthusiasm.‘We’re called Royal Blood and this is rock music.

Visitors and locals are invited to step back in time with what’s promising to be two days of fabulous fun. A range of exciting events located all around Lincoln are due to take place, such as: Live 1940s music and dance Food and drink in the local businesses Craft markets Classic vehicle displays Family activities and pop-up street theatre Vintage Fairground (including a carousel and children’s swing boats!) Traditional games Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast by a Lancaster Bomber, weather permitting The main hub of the event will take place in the historic Bailgate and Uphill area of Lincoln, but make sure to look out for other pop-up activities across the city to compliment the weekend – visitors can even get their hair styled to be a classic 1940’s hairdo! Some of the acts set to perform include the ever-popular Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Clubs, Johnny Victory, Miss Lily Lovejoy, May Blossom and many more. This year will also see the return of the well-loved Winston Churchill, portrayed by Derek Herbert. The 1940’s Weekend runs from July 22nd to July 23rd, 10am – 5pm. The event is organised and funded by Lincoln BIG.
