After recovering from knee surgery this off\u002Dseason, Tevin Jones has taken on a prominent role in the Roughriders\u0027 offence.
“It just feels good to actually be out here and do damage on the field,” said Jones, who has 18 catches for 256 yards in three games.
“I just try to make everybody feel comfortable,” he said. “I don’t want people to come here and feel like it’s a job. I want them to feel like it’s a home. One of those players Jones has been mentoring is 24-year-old rookie receiver Kendall Watson, who caught the crucial two-point conversion in“Tevin and all the other guys, as soon as we got here, they took us under their wing immediately to make sure that we understand what’s going on, where we’re supposed to be every day and helping us with the ins-and-outs of being a professional athlete,” said Watson.
The 25-year-old attended training camp with the Green and White in Saskatoon and looked good, before going down with a partial tear in his posterior cruciate ligament .
