Paul and his family have delighted the Hall Carr Estate families with their creepy decorations for many years
Paul Fellows and his wife, Beverley, along with their daughter Moon and her two children, Alfie and Willow will be decorating their family home in Rawtenstall with some animatronic displays along with a smoke machine and lighting to get into the spirit of Halloween. The family will also dress as witches and ghouls and perform their usual interactive acting.
. It has always been popular with children and adults in the area, who excitedly wait in anticipation each year. They started putting up decorations again last year after the covid period.He said: “We do this because we want to entertain the children in the area. It is a big estate and very few people do it. The children love the decorations and on the route to school they ask what we are doing on Halloween. They also love our Christmas gnomes.
To enter the raffle people should come to 156 Hardman Avenue, Hall Carr, Rossendale, BB4 6BL on Halloween night between 5pm and 9pm. Guests will pay £1 per ticket with three adult prizes up for grabs and 20p per ticket for five child prizes. Entrants must provide their telephone number. They will guess the number of worms in the jar .
They have added an optional prize raffle in aid of Rossendale Hospice. Grace Cole, Supporter Engagement Fundraiser at Rossendale Hospice, said: “We are so grateful to Paul and his family for supporting the Hospice in such a fun way! I am sure his innovative fundraising idea will bring so much joy to children’s faces when they visit. Support from the community is so important to us and we are so lucky to have families like Paul’s raising money for the Hospice.
The raffle draw will be done the next day. There are a variety of prizes to win including Halloween medals and stretchy toys. Bags of sweet treats will also be given to visitors. Visitors are encouraged to bring their pets in the best Halloween costumes.The event can also be found on a Facebook events page titled ‘Spooky Trick or Treat Fun’.
