Ogletree was headed for an MRI on Wednesday afternoon, according to a league source.
WESTFIELD — Rookie tight end Drew Ogletree suffered a knee injury during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Detroit Lions that appears to be significant. The rookie tight end went down without taking a hit from defender in a 7-on-7 drill, and teammates kept coming over to talk to him before Ogletree was carted away from the field.
Teammates kept coming up to Ogletree while he was being examined on the field, offering encouragement. If Ogletree’s knee injury is serious, Indianapolis will likely need to accelerate the development of third-round pick Jelani Woods.
