Rodri is under contract at Manchester City until 2027, and does not appear to have any plans to leave the Etihad any time soon.
Rodri has ruled out a future transfer to Saudi Arabia like other big names from Europe, as he discussed his future after leaving Manchester City.
Speaking to Spanish media ahead of his return to Manchester, Rodri was asked whether he would consider returning to Spain after his time at City is done, having joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in 2019. On the same theme, Rodri was then asked if he would join the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Riyad Mahrez, Cristiano Ronaldo and a number of high-profile names in moving to the Saudi Pro League. Whether Rodri ends his career at City or not - he will be 31 when his current contract expires - he has previously indicated that he may be more open to a Sporting Director role in the future like Txiki Begiristain rather than going into coaching like Pep Guardiola.
