Earlier in the week, a crowd of 3,500 turned out to watch VanVleet and the Raptors in Game 5 and the crowd grew to over 6,000 by Thursday night, when Toronto claimed the NBA Championship with a 114-110 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 in Oakland. "Our understanding is that our Jurassic Park was probably the biggest, if not the only, significant Jurassic Park in America," Groh said.
VanVleet's toughness is reflected in the city's character, said Groh, of the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. In the video clip below, about 6,000 people attended a Fred VanVleet watch party in Rockford, Illinois, and began chanting"8-1-5," which is the city's area code.
