Udoka said he has partially filled out his coaching staff with some open spots still remaining, and intends to announce a few of the hires as soon as they are finalized within “the next few weeks.” He also specifically mentioned pursuing conversations with some staff members of the Celtics, who lost in the Eastern Conference Finals last week.
Udoka said that during Rockets pre-draft workouts he has worked with John Lucas, the top assistant on former coach Stephen Silas’ staff, but did not answer whether Lucas is under consideration to join his staff.
