Thousands of runners will be participating in the San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half-Marathon and roads will close beginning at 5 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Plan accordingly.

A Health and Fitness Expo Friday afternoon and all day Saturday is open to the public at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, featuring the latest in running technologies, fitness apparel, health and nutrition information. Runners must pick up their race number, gear bag and t-shirt at the expo before the races.
The half-marathon course will then head back downtown, while the marathon course will veer east and then southeast before taking runners back downtown. The finish line to both races is in front of UTSA’s downtown campus, and theRoads will close beginning at 5 a.m. on both days, according to race organizers, with races beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
