Sheri Moon Zombie, wife of director Rob Zombie, reveals a new look at her costume for the upcoming Munsters reboot. Sheri Moon Zombie is playing Lily Munster in the upcoming movie alongside Jeff Daniel Phillips and Daniel Roebuck . The original series aired for two seasons on CBS in the ‘60s starring Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, and Yvonne De Carlo as Herman, Grandpa, and Lily.
While a lot of blockbusters keep fans in the dark until the movie is nearing release, Rob Zombie has been consistently updating fans throughout the development and production of The Munsters. During construction of the 1313 Mockingbird Lane set, Rob Zombie revealed several new looks at the progress and, eventually, the inside of the Munsters’ home.
Many were concerned when Zombie was announced to be helming the latest Munsters reboot since most of his movies have been extremely violent and filled with gore. The original Munsters series was quite the opposite, being a family-friendly affair to compete with ABC's The Addams Family. However, a lot of that concern has started to dissipate as Rob Zombie reveals more and more about his movie.
This new look at Lily Munster once again reiterates Zombie’s attention to detail, but his wife’s acting will obviously be what makes or breaks the character. Sheri Moon Zombie is a frequent collaborator of her husband, so it wasn’t a big surprise when she was cast as Lily. Because of this, her past acting experience is filled with hard R-rated horror movies, except for minor roles in shows like CSI: Miami and Californication.
