BREAKING: The hospital is NOT being evacuated. We are working to learn more information.

– Roads have reopened and there is no threat to downtown Jacksonville after a bomb threat to the area, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Christian Hancock said Wednesday.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to a bomb threat that was called in around 10:10 a.m. at a building on Prudential Drive near Palm Avenue. The threat was to the exterior perimeter of the 22-story One Call Building, JSO said. This is also the area where Baptist hospital downtown and Wolfson Children’s Hospital are located. The hospitals were not being evacuated.

Hancock said bomb dogs were called in and a search was done. After two hours, the K-9 units did not detect any device or suspicious item, JSO said.
