“That would enable people to come forward and see where they fit best. There’s too much competition going on between the NHS and social care, and that is based around pay and conditions. We need a real levelling up for our workforce. “The skill level needed for social care staff is akin to the NHS, given they largely look after people with chronic multiple health issues.”
