Rishi Sunak has announced he will stand to be the UK's next Prime Minister and says he will 'rebuild the economy'
The former Chancellor who resigned from Boris Johnson's government on Tuesday, tweeted: "I’m standing to be the next leader of the Conservative Party and your Prime Minister.
He has already got the support of former chief whip Mark Spencer, who tweeted: "Rishi is the leader that can unite the Party, bring the whole country together and win us that fifth general election victory. In serious times we need a person with a proven track record. Rishi gets my full support."Let’s restore trust, rebuild the economy and reunite the country.
