Michael Bay's first Transformers movie cut other Autobots meant to appear, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is finally fixing this mistake.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is fixing a mistake from Michael Bay's first Transformers movie with the Autobots set to appear. The live-action movie franchise based on Hasbro's popular action figures has always kept its stories revolving around Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. However, the other Autobots who join them on the journey have frequently changed to include new characters alongside them.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will follow this trend by turning the focus toward Mirage. Although the Autobot has been in other Transformers movies, he has been a more minor character. He is seemingly getting the biggest role with Mirage's Porsche form as he looks to be the main companion for the film's human lead played by Anthony Ramos.
Arcee Was Originally Meant To Appear In Michael Bay’s Transformers The original plan for Michael Bay's Transformers movie was to include Arcee as one of the main Autobots. This came during the early points of development when writers Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto worked on a treatment. Arcee was a member of the Autobots team alongside Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Jazz, Prowl, Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Bumblebee. She was the only female Autobot to be included in the movie.
There were two primary reasons that Arcee was cut from Transformers. Orci and Kurtzman eventually determined that it was too difficult to try and explain robotic gender. Michael Bay also was not a fan of Arcee's traditional motorcycle alt form. While this led to the decision that she would not appear in the first film in the franchise, the creative team eventually came around to including the female Autobot.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Finally Makes Arcee A Main Autobot Member As the most popular and recognizable female Autobot, Arcee is finally getting the recognition she deserves in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The character is not going to be a minor character like she was in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, a cameo like Bumblebee, or ignored like in every other film.
