Phoenix is getting ready for Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Show by honoring the icon with artwork depicting her. Here's where one mural has gone up.
With less than three weeks to go before her Feb. 12 concert at State Farm Stadium — akaPhoenix artistdepicting Rihanna on the east-facing wall of Trill, a hip-hop store that sells records, streetwear, collectibles and art supplies.
The mural, which can be found on Indian School Road just east of State Route 51 in Phoenix, portrays the singer and entrepreneur looking over her bare shoulder in a floor-to-ceiling portrait alongside an image of her in silhouette, as she appeared in Apple Music'sTune into Fox starting at 4:30 p.m. MST on Super Bowl Sunday to see Rihanna perform her greatest hits — and maybe even the NFL game that bookends the halftime show, which typically runs 12-14 minutes.
