Jane Shetterly, 42, was charged with 12 felony counts related to alleged sexual abuse of a girl in 2021.
MARTINEZ — A former West Contra Costa Unified School District teacher has been arrested and charged with molesting a student throughout 2021, crimes that authorities say are backed up by photographic evidence.
Shetterly was arrested last year after the alleged victim’s mother reported to authorities that she found evidence her daughter was being abused by a teacher. Police say the victim is a special needs student and that Shetterly abused her at private lessons at Shetterly’s home. Shetterly was fired from the district after her arrest last year, according to multiple law enforcement sources.
