A Littleton police corporal who fired at a suspect who allegedly shot a fellow officer, and the downed officer who returned fire after being shot were justified in firing their weapons during the September incident, according to a review.
Officer David Snook was shot eight times on Sept. 20 while responding to a report of shots fired in Littleton, according to a review by the 18th Judicial District Critical Response Team.
“He was shot in the abdomen under his vest and fell onto his back out of the doorway,” the review said. The suspect shot Snook eight times and fired 27 shots in the incident. Snook, after being hit, returned fire, discharging 18 rounds. The suspect was not hit.
