Jon Rahm admits he reached out to Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter to ask for advice despite the trio being on opposite sides of golf's civil war
Rahm is playing his third Ryder Cup. He barely said a word on debut in Paris, so spellbound was he by the company into which he was thrust.
“I did talk to him and ask for advice. He did show me a lot of what to do at Whistling [Straits] and obviously in Paris, as well. I did have a little bit of a chat with Poulter as well. Not that it’s going to be easy to take on the role that those two had both on and off the golf course, but just to hear them, talk about what they thought and what they felt is obviously invaluable information.
As well as old friends, or enemies depending on your outlook, Rahm referenced how he believes motivational video footage put together by the tour and watched by the team on their arrival in Rome, would be influential this week.
