Resident injured in North Park cottage fire [Breaking]
When crews arrived, they found light smoke showing from a fourplex of cottages with a fire burning in one of the homes, San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief Juan Flores told OnScene TV.A resident found inside the home suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation and was taken by ambulance to UCSD Burn Center, Flores said. According to OnScene TV, the injured person was a woman.
Flores said it took firefighters about 10 minutes to knock down the flames. He said the fire did not spread, and it appeared to be confined to furniture and other contents inside the house. He said there was no indication as to what started the fire and investigators with Metro Arson Strike Team would be looking into the cause. No other details were immediately available.
