Republican attorney Eric Early on Tuesday announced his candidacy for U.S. Senate to replace retiring Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., the oldest sitting senator.

Though Early is the first major Republican candidate to replace her, he remains a long shot in the notoriously liberal Golden State.U.S. Rep.
