The Clippers are close to completing a three-team trade that would bring Boston Celtics guard Malcolm Brogdon, this season’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year, to Los Angeles, The Athletic was first to report on Wednesday.
According to an unnamed league source, the deal has a “high probability” of getting done, The Athletic reported. Drafted out of Virginia by the Milwaukee Bucks, Brogdon was voted the 2017 Rookie of the Year, playing 27 minutes per game. Coffey, who went undrafted in 2019, played the past four seasons with the Clippers. But the 6-foot-7 wing was never expected to crack the starting rotation.
