Alex Rodriguez and Yankees play-by-play man Michael Kay will reportedly host an alternative 'Sunday Night Baseball' broadcast for ESPN this season.
Major League Baseball plunged into its first work stoppage in a quarter-century when the sport's collective bargaining agreement expired and owners immediately locked out players in a move that threatens spring training and opening day. The companion broadcast will be hosted by Alex Rodriguez, who's spent the last few seasons as a"Sunday Night Baseball" analyst, and longtime New York Yankees play-by-play man Michael Kay, according to the Post's Andrew Marchand.
Per Marchand, the new"Sunday Night Baseball" main broadcast team will feature Karl Ravech on play-by-play and Eduardo Perez and David Cone, another former Yankee and YES Network employee, as analysts. . Marchand noted that the format for Rodriguez's and Kay's broadcast"has not been finalized" and that the duo are expected to host their telecast around 10-12 times during the baseball season.
