Nicholas WuWASHINGTON — Rep. Norma Torres slammed fellow members of Congress as"sex-starved males" during a heated debate over abortion on Wednesday.
Torres was responding to comments from Rep. Ross Spano, R-Fla., during a debate about spending on abortion in appropriations bills for the Department of Health and Human Services and other agencies, according to Roll Call. Republicans were introducing amendments to strike out a provision of the bill that would prohibit the funding of Trump administration regulations that would allow conscientious objections to providing abortions, Roll Call reported.
He argued that the Democrats' legislation would result in"Americans’ tax dollars being forced to subsidize entities that kill unborn children."A 'promise' kept: Illinois governor J.B.
