It's never too early to visit New Hampshire. That's a longtime mantra among political professionals about future presidential candidates. And Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene seems to have taken note.
So, MTG is a serious draw for a county Republican Party event. She's known for tussling with fellow lawmakers of both parties and, in her first term, was kicked off House committee by Democrats, who were in the majority, for violent remarks she made previously about then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi , among others.
To be sure, MTG is not running for the 2024 Republican nomination. The outspoken populist conservative is a big supporter of former President Donald Trump, who leads the first-in-the-nation primary field over rivals such as his vice president during their 2017-21 terms, Mike Pence. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, a member of the Trump-Pence administration for nearly two years as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, is gaining steam in New Hampshire, polls show.
Many of these candidates have been in New Hampshire since before the 2024 cycle began, as MTG will be ahead of the 2028 presidential race. Trump is limited to a single White House term since he was already in office for four years. And Biden will be out of office in 2028 should he win reelection next year.
