. Two weekends ago, the actor turned Goop goddess appeared at the Globes dressed in a completely sheer Fendi gown. The long dress revealed Paltrow’s bra and underwear and major Bulgari jewels, and received mixed reviews from fashion critics. Even she poked fun at herself on the red carpet, telling host Sharon Osbourne, “I better get it out one last time before I’m too, you know, over-the-hill.”
Paltrow’s “naked dress” was a far cry from the famously demure baby pink Ralph Lauren gown she wore to the Oscars in 1999 , but one thing’s for sure: She was totally on trend. Charlize Theron provided another example of lingerie to red carpet dressing with her corset-baring custom Dior gown at the Globes, while Zendaya took it a step further and strapped on Tom Ford’s hot pink metal breast plate for the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday.
