The Red Arrows treated people in Edinburgh to an awesome display on Saturday evening, as part of the annual Military Tattoo.
Stunning footage from one of the cockpits shows the jets flying in beautiful formation above Scotland's capital city, as streams of colourful smoke pours from the back of the aircrafts. Among the landmarks which can be seen as they zoom overhead is Edinburgh Castle. The jets can be seen releasing red, white and blue smoke at various points during the flyover.View gallery Officially known as The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, on the Red Arrows' official Twitter page, a Tweet read: "Huge honour to be part of the Royal #Edinburgh Military Tattoo this evening. Here are views from the cockpit as the #RedArrows performed a flypast over the city.
The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo takes place each year during August running alongside other Edinburgh events, such as Edinburgh Fringe and Edinburgh International Festival. The Tattoo features a number of Military Tattoos performed by the British Armed Forces and International military bands. Attracting a largely global audience, the Tattoo is televised in over 30 countries and has previously invited performers from over 46 countries to take part.
