Young and Uiagalelei were the only five-star QBs in the 2020 cycle. Uiagalelei, recruited to be the heir apparent to Trevor Lawrence, had an underwhelming three-year career with Clemson and was benched for, a five-star in the 2022 class, late last season.
Uiagalelei still threw for 2,521 yards and 22 TDs while completing 61.9 percent of his passes in 2022. So there’s potential there despite his struggles at Clemson. We’ll see if Jonathan Smith, a stellar offensive mind, can get the most out of Uiagalelei at Oregon State.As you can see, the 2020 quarterback class has been underwhelming.
