A listing has appeared which would require the successful applicant to move to Fair Isle - and the job even comes with a home on the island.
Adventurous Scots who love nature and a quiet life have been urged to grasp the opportunity of a lifetime as a rare job on an "extraordinary" island has opened up.
The National Trust of Scotland owns the island and is charged with preserving the unique species and wildlife that lives there. The conservation charity have also emphasises other potential job roles available on the island - including positions within the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, the school canteen, knitting producers and trades.
Clea Warner, the National Trust for Scotland’s regional director for the Highlands and Islands, said: “I was in Fair Isle at the beginning of October and know what a beautiful and friendly place it is. For anyone who loves the outdoors and wildlife, there’s nowhere like it. The community is very dynamic and welcoming, and committed to keeping Fair Isle as a thriving place to live.
